THE BUNKER Monday 31st May 2010

The Beta Male's Picnic Present... The Bunker

Rob Carter + Carly Smallman + The Three Englishmen + Robert Commiskey, with more to be announced shortly.

After a strong 2009 Edinburgh with four star reviews from The List and Three Weeks, and Kate Copstick from The Scotsman concluding her review with: “I really can’t imagine who would not enjoy it.”, the Beta Males are working towards a strong concept show this year: a post-apocalyptic sketch show called “The Bunker”. Set thirty years after a worldwide cataclysm, “The Bunker” charts the progress of the last 273 survivors, in their concrete haven, miles below ground.

The Beta Males’ Picnic invite you to take off your jacket, shake the radiation from your hair, grab a glass of beer-flavoured cataclysm-water, and to come take your seat in...The Bunker.

2012 MUSICAL COMEDY AWARDS LAUNCH!

The Musical Comedy Awards is back! Now in it's fourth year, the MCA has grown in stature to become an annual fixture in the comedy calendar and the best place to see the UK's finest up and coming musical comedians alongside some of the best established acts of the genre on the circuit. Over the years the MCA have provided a launch pad to superstar acts like Frisky and Mannish (2009 Finalists), Abandoman (2010 winners) and Jay Foreman (Best Newcomer 2009 and now touring with Dave Gorman) and created a thriving independent platform to celebrate the artform that is musical comedy. The competition has also played host to stars of the genre such as Mitch Benn, David O' Doherty, Bo Burnham and many more.

See below for context.
